                                             THERAPY

   ADULT THERAPY

Seeking the help of a professional therapist can be the answer to resolving tough issues and getting your life back on track ~ often with only a few counseling sessions. We can help you deal with difficult issues such as:

Depression
Anxiety
Emotional, physical or sexual abuse
Grief and Loss
Previous trauma
Life transitions
Other emotional and psychological issues

  ADOLESCENT THERAPY

Most adolescents dread the thought of going to therapy. But, most of the teens leaving The Patterson Center's office after treatment would agree that therapy was well worth it. Being an adolescent means by definition you are in a constant state of change and challenge. It is NO CRIME to ask for some help. Help that is personal, private, and brief.

Our typical assessment allows for time to meet with parents, then with the teen, and then with the parents and adolescent together.  Each adolescent will receive an assessment measuring their self concept, anxiety, depression, anger, and disruptive behaviors. Results of all assessments will be discussed as a treatment plan is developed spcifically for you and your teen.

The Patterson Center can help teens and their families with:

Academic struggles
Behavior problems
Bereavement issues
Managing Technology & Social Life
Social skills deficits
Social withdrawal or isolation
Family conflicts
Friendship issues
Depressive disorders
Anxiety disorders
Low self-esteem
Signs of alcohol, drug, or other substance use (such as solvents or prescription drug abuse)
